Pt cruiser temperature light on

I see that there is a very common problem with the radiator becomming clogged / rusting out on the inside. Take a look at this discussion regarding the problem:

This may be your problem, too.

My BMW 325i temp guage goes to the middle, not the red. Is that a problem?

Middle is ideal, if it gets to the red it's overheating. I'll tell you from experience that not fun! lol

OVER HEATING AND PERFORMANCE ISSUES

hi, I have a 91 Nissan Terrano 2dr TD27 engine
When I first got the car all was good apart from the turbo coolant hoses needing a bit of TLC.
I am now having overheating problems which have progressivley got worse, to the point of which i drive on the road more than 20 min and it starts to get up there in heat.
I have removed the viscous fan and replaced it with an 16 inch thermo fan with a temp switch, and still have the same problem, I have had it off road since and if I dont put my foot down its not as bad like if i just cruise or some thing but if I try to climb a dune i get half way and temp is almost on 3/4.

The other issue i have with the old girl is its so gutless its not even funny, I have put a boost control in as well as boost guage, and the most i get out of it is 6psi and im sure thats not normal.

if any1 can give me any info that would be great
Thanks Neil
