My x type 3.0 when driving on motorways,suddenly says''cruise control not available, then engine overheating'' and temp guage goes to red egine manageing light comes on. after turning off engine for a few seconds then back on, all return to normal except engine mgt light. Then after approx 3-4 minutes same again. please help Alan

hi, I have a 91 Nissan Terrano 2dr TD27 engine When I first got the car all was good apart from the turbo coolant hoses needing a bit of TLC. I am now having overheating problems which have progressivley got worse, to the point of which i drive on the road more than 20 min and it starts to get up there in heat. I have removed the viscous fan and replaced it with an 16 inch thermo fan with a temp switch, and still have the same problem, I have had it off road since and if I dont put my foot down its not as bad like if i just cruise or some thing but if I try to climb a dune i get half way and temp is almost on 3/4.
The other issue i have with the old girl is its so gutless its not even funny, I have put a boost control in as well as boost guage, and the most i get out of it is 6psi and im sure thats not normal.
