Dead battery trunk won't pop open

I had a dead battery and now the trunk wont pop open The car has been garaged for about 6 months. I jumped it and it is running but the trunk won't open

First check the fuse for it next if you can use the key try to rock the trunk up/down while turning the key also if fuses are good use the same method while somebody presses the button also try to bang on it a little bit it could be stuck from dirt and leaves if not take out the back seat and use A flashlight to find the emergency release you didn't specify what make and model so that's all I can tell you

That only means, with your explanation, the battery is bad or has a dead cell. It happens. Have the battery fully charged at a battery rebuilder and have him load test the battery to find if indeed it is bad. If not, have your charging system checked. A test when running should show 14 volts or better, meaning the charging system is good. If the test shows the battery stays at 12 volts, it is not charging and your alternator is at fault.

Trying to open trunk with no power
Use jumper cables from another car-put the positive jumper cable on the post on the starter where the battery cable connects, then the negative jumper cable to a ground on the frame of your car. Turn on the car you are jumping with and let it run about 10 minutes. It might charge up your battery in the trunk enough to open the trunk.

Battery is dead and cant get into the trunk
I'm not sure my solution posted so I will re-post to be sure.

You will need to get a jump from another car as if you were starting it, however when you hook the terminals up, just pop the trunk open with the fob or the button.

did you try to go through by the trunk or open the hood by under neath to get at the battery to jump it to open with the remotes

1996 jag xjs , the battery is dead , I need to jump start it but the trunk won't open ,battery in the trunk , can it be jumped from under the hood ? and why won't the trunk open even with a key ?
The trunk latch is operated by a solenoid which it requires power to operate. since the batery is flat then it won't work. I'm not sure where the positive terminal is under the hood but you can connect the positive lead to the alternator wire terminal, and the negative lead can be connected any where on the engine.

The battery is dead on my kia amanti and the doors are locked and the key wont open it.
Spray some penetrating oil in the keyhole and try again. will it open the trunk? If your car has the fold down seats with the pass through to the trunk, open the trunk and have someone small crawl into the car and unlock the doors from the inside. Or get someone to give you a jump. With the jumper cables hooked up you should be able to open the door with the remote.

If you can get the hood open, then look for the alternator and use the heavy gauge single wire. Put the (+) of the charger on it and the (-) on a good ground.

I have a 93 XJ6 that's dead..Battery is dead, well I want to jump it to get it started & I can't figure out how to jump it...Can I jump it through the starter or is there a special switch to pop the...
positive connection point under bonnet ,earth to teh engine,some models its on the firewall and some its on the inner wing

Dead battery and dead key. cant get in trunk to jump car
Pop open the hood (bonnet) on the left isde of the firewall there is a red/black battery connection so you can jump start the car without getting to the battery.
