You just can't turn up the turbo boost any more with the new engines. If the turbo start to boost more then the PCM is programed to, it will cut the fuel pressure down and you loose more HP. Here is a link for you if your looking to get good HP out of your 6.0 liter diesel. You can replace the wast gate for the turbo with a higher PSI rating but your going to have to by a electronic boost builder for the PCM so it will not kill the fuel pressure soon as you start making more boost. http://www.thoroughbreddiesel.com/bd-diesel/turbo-boost-builder.htm and http://innovativediesel.com/ Good luck and hope you get the HP your looking for to get out of your engine.

There is no waste gate on a 6.0 turbo. It is a variable vane turbo. The pressure is controlled by the vgt solinoid. The only way to gain psi from the turbo on this engine is to put in a programmer. I have used the Bully Dog with good results. Also recommend a Predator. Do your homework on a programmer that would give you what you are looking for. I also recommend changing the intercooler with an aftermarket one if you put in a programmer

When turbo boost is over 30 psi and truck goes into exhaust cleaning mode all boost pressure is lost, and consequently all power as well. The only way to get boost back is to pull over turn truck off for 4...

i assume you are driving a 2008 superduty with a 6.4 liter. it should not lose power when in cleaning mode thatg is that drasticaly noticeable. be sure your maintenace is up to date. the first thnig our shop manual tells us is to check oil change and to change as needed. if you havent noticed the oil leel "grows" as you drive, if it gets high enough it can have an adverse afect on the engines performance. be sure to use original equiptment filters, and i suggest full synthetic motorcraft diesel oil. as a second note to your concern, there is/was a recall on performance for the 6.4 liter, recall #11b23. it is a computer upgrade for the engine, this too may help. your engine carries a 5 year 100,000 warranty from ford, if still under this, i would strongly suggest checkeding for recalls, oil change and seeing your local ford dealer! hope this helps ya!

Low presure 300 psi to injectors, fuel presure though filters seems good but not enough to start my 2005 powerstroke 6 litre diesel (F 350 superduty)Help???

2006?? if so then its common rail with one high pressure pump ,the fuel through the filters is low pressure anyway ,then it goes into the high pressure pump that delivers the pressure to the injectors .If you dont know what your doing with this new piece of kit then refer to the dealer because it has a lot of fancy electronics controlled by encrypted software

Gauge for turbo not working and drives kind of weak

the wastegate could be stuck open, and its not building boost, its more likely the gauge is inoperative. if you had no boost that truck wont even get up to 50mph.

My 2003 f-250 turbo not engaging

If you are getting zero boost, then your wastegate actuator may be jammed, causing the wastegate to be stuck open. That'll bleed all the boost off around the turbine, straight to the exhaust, and you'll never build any boost pressure.
