We have a 2003 saturn vue tha sway bar broke , easy to disconnect, now we got a new sway bar . My question is how do we install the curvy sway bar back to its spot ?What part(s) may need taken off to get...

remove the 2 pivot points under the car on the chassis sub frame . Disconnect the rods at either end of the sway bar at the rubbers . I would get all new rubbers for the sway bar and pivots before reassembly. Sway bars normally do not break as they are spring steel so it may have been weak or rubbing on a pivot from a missing rubber

HOW DO I INSTALL STABILIZER BUSHINGS IN A 2001 TOYOTA ECHO

You need to remove the stabilizer bar and the hangers in the sub frame.Once you have the sway bar completely off you can remove the old bushings and then spray the bar with penetrating oil and put the new bushings in their place, where the old ones were.re bolt everything and you're done.

Install rear sway bar

a sway bar is usually u shaped and hooks to the body and the tops of the u hook to the axle with links that have bushings. most jeeps dont have a rear sway bar.the panhard bar is the rod that goes from one side of the axle to the body on the opposite side. its sometimes mistakenly called sway bar. it keeps the body from moving side to side around corners. then there are the torque bars they keep the axle from trying to rotate when accelerating.
none of this would be real expensive but if its been lifted a bunch then you may have problems

I hear a poping noise when i turn a corner from

Definitely the sway bar links. New links are extremely stiff at the balljoint. Old ones appear OK until you compare them to new ones.

How much to change a oil pan gasket for 2001 grand prix 3.8 gt

If you want to repair the oil pan I would also check lower engine mount for leaking oil and cracks in anti sway bar near fitting's. This due to engine mount is oil filled. OEM sway bar is made of tubular steel and they crack easy. Replacement sway bar is solid steel. Here's the kicker. When they pull the lower frame to service oil pan. The engine mount and sway bar are attached to that frame. A honest mechanic should only charge for parts ($35 for mount and $100 for sway bar) and maybe a extra hour. My mechanic did all in 5 hours. FYI gasket is only $35 bucks. Good luck

Front sway bar link kit, what is the order of installation. all my bushings are rotted away.

Remove the sway bar links from lower control arms. Replace the sway bar mount to frame bushings first. Then install sway bar link bushings. Note how they come apart and install in the same manner.

1994 corvette makes sqeaking noise

this noise (based on my own Corvette doing the same thing) is that it is the sway bar rubber bushings making the noise, remove them and apply white grease to the inside of the rubber bushing, then retest, it fixed mine (1996)

2001 Tarus clunking sound

very common problem is the sway bay end links that attach to the strut from the sway bar. They sound like a light chuckling knock over bumps. The bushings that hold the subframe up wear or the bolts loosed due to the bushings wearing. usually the rear ones The bushings are 2 piece ,upper and lower Tighten with 18mm socket
