I need the routing diagram for the serpentine belt on a 1999 ford escort zx2 with double overhead cams

Since the info is copy righted I can't post it directly but I can tell you how to find it.

Goto www.autozone.com

Click "REPAIR INFO" in the toolbar at the top of the site (3rd option from the right)

Click the "GET TO KNOW YOUR CAR" section under novice.

It will prompt you for the year make and model.

Then you will be brought to the Specifications section.

Click "EXTERNAL ENGINE"

Click "Belt Routing Diagram"

You can enlarge and print the diagram from there!!

ok, i have to ask. did u look under the hood near the radiator? almost all cars have a routing diagram. also look in the owners manual, almost all of them have a diagram. i did a search for this real quick and didn't find any results

if there is no white label on top of the radiator guard,
If you buy your belt from Autozone the belt routing is on the package,If you already bought the belt you could always buy one from AutoZone and then return it after you use the routing.

There are 2 possible diagrams for your car due to 2 slightly different 1.9 motors. Below are both diagrams.

The accessory drive belt for 2.0L engines has no provision for manual belt adjustment, since these engines use an automatic belt tensioner. Drive belt slack is taken up by the automatic tensioner.
Movement of the automatic tensioner assembly during engine operation is not a sign of a malfunctioning tensioner. This movement is the tensioner self-adjusting and is required to maintain constant belt tension.
The belt tensioner has a belt length indicator. If the indicator marks are not between the MIN and MAX marks, the belt must be replaced.
