Toyota sienna - a/c light blinking

I have a 2007 toyota sienna where the a/c light flashes 42,000 miles and will not blow cold air consistently? When the engine is idling and we turn on the a/c the engine will cutoff. we took it to the dealer and they are saying that the compressor is bad on it and should be replaced with a 3000 pricetag. I read some of the other posts and they hint that it could be the magnetic clutch relay, could this cause all of the above symptons?

Hello, I am a tec. from Puerto Rico your problem does sound like the magnetic clutch. It is located directly on the compresor, over here we change them for around $150 including materials and work.

2004 Toyota Sienna and the AC is blowing warm air

Well, I would check to see if the compressor under the hood is engaging and the fan turns on to the radiator when switching the a/c on.

The most common problem for a car that is 6 years old is for r134a refrigerant to leak out through o-rings.

I would get an r134a recharge kit from your local auto parts store which consists of a tube and a can of freon with oil, leak detector, and sealant to help prevent leakage.

Hope you can get 'cool' air conditioning again.

My 06 Sienna air bag light keep on blinking, why and what can be done about it?

the light is flashing to alert you that there is a problem with the srs or supplemental restraint system (air bag). it is probably flashing a fault code. for example, the light may flash 5x, then pause, then 2x. then a longer pause and repeat. the code would be read as 52. have the code read and the system repaired. dealer repair or someone that specializes in air bag repair is recommended. do not attempt any repair procedure unless you disarm the air bag. stray voltage can set it off.

2007 Sienna airbag warning lamp flashing

Certainly check with your Toyota Dealer as the vehicle is hopefully is still under factory warranty at that milage. The Air bag light flashing is certainly cause for concern, and having an airbag set off without impact can be very dangerous and it is best to have a professional working on your airbag issues.
