Serpentine belt replacement procedures 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.7 V6. I have the diagram I just need to know what I loosen, any tricks, and how I tighten it back up. I know it has a auto tension device, the car has 119k miles and there is a good bit of deflection in the belt when I press on it, and its chirping. Thanks Paul

Hi Alex, here's a Autozone repair guide link showing you your belt diagram. SAVE 20 ON ONLINE SHIP TO HOME ORDERS OF 100 OR MORE Look's like both belts are using the crankshaft pulley,The alternator, the water pump and the crankshaft pulley is using one belt.Need more help, let me know.
The 2006 Santa Fe came with three (3) different engines, each having different serpentine belt arrangements. The 4cylinder 2.4 lit has three belts, the 2.7 has only one (1) drive belt, and the 3.5 lit has two (2). Go to www.hmaservice.com and register your vehicle by VIN #.. you'll then have access to wiring diagrams, shop manuals, service bulletins, illustrations and procedures, etc.
Below is the diagram you will need to replace the belt. The diagram is for a 6cyl. 2.7 engine (most common for that year). Once the tensioner pulley is loose, route the new belt as diagrammed and while applying pressure, tighten the tensioner pulley.

For the 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe: I do not know if you have the 2.4L DOHC In-Line 4-Cylinder, 2.7L DOHC V6, or the 3.5L DOHC V6 Engine; however the Link below has all three Diagrams.
Click on the following: direct, free Link. It has the Belt Diagrams for your 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe. It also has very helpful Instructions and Directional Diagrams.
First, you need to make sure you have the routing diagram on how to put the belt back on. You didn't mention your engine size, so i have included diagrams for both engines offered in 2002.
it uses a spring loaded tensioner.use a breaker bar to rotate the tension and it should just come off.if u need a pic or anything else to do it let me know,
