Instal a relay (preferably in a mounting socket); Wire one side of the control coil to the +12v mainbeam 'on' circuit.
Take the other relay coil control connection to the additional 'Driving-lamp on' control switch (switched to ground).
Supply relay contacts 'common' with a fused +12V from battery - use wire with sufficient current carry capacity to feed driving lights. Connect switched +12V output to the driving lamps.

1996 Chevy 1500 truck 2 wheel drive. I only have one headlight working. The front left works, but only in high beam please help.

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to model category.

Check the bulb, you can swap left to right. If the right side works on both main beam and low beam, then the switch is fine. If left main beam works, then the earthing wires to it are fine. That only leaves the bulb its socket or the positive wire.

Dip beam

The main beam isn't designed to "dip" to oncoming traffic. When you "dip" the beams, it's the high beam that drops out until you click it back to high again. If you have the optional automatic vehicle approach system (NOT just auto headlights) the high beams will dip automatically to oncoming traffic and then go back to high beam again after the oncoming traffic passes.

Headlights stop working what do i check

The first thing would be to check for power and ground at the headlamp sockets. If power and ground are both present and accounted for, then you need to replace your headlamp bulbs. If there is no power, then you need to check your power circuits to find the fault. This includes fuse MF-4 (30 Amp) in the engine compartment fuse block, the main lighting switch, fuses F-4, F-5, F-10 and F-11 in the facia fuse box, the daytime running lamp module (if equipped) and all the wiring in between all of these components.

If there is no ground, then you need to check your ground circuits. The headlamps ground at points E-101 and E-102 these are located in the left front and right front engine compartment areas, bolted to the fender wells.

If neither side is working on either high beam or low beam, the most likely cause is a defective main light switch or a burned connector going into the switch. (Which usually requires replacing the switch AND repairing the connector.)

Convert h4 headlights to twin h7 units wiring

Its a wiring issue.

Your dip switch is selecting one or t'other rather than turning the high (second) lamp on and off, no?

You will have to mod the wiring so the dip lamp is always on when h/l's are on and the main beam is brought on as well when you go to main.

This may involve fitting a new switch and modding the wiring feed. i.e H7 switch and wiring.

Hey when I flick the light switch up to main beam there is no difference in the light; does this mean my full beam lamp has blown out or could my wiring be misconnected? I dont really understand how the...

With the lights on low beam, note where the brightest part istrikes the garage door or what ever, then put it on high beam and note the brightest spot will go up and to the left. On two bulb headlightsbothe lamps work on hi and low
On4 bulb, hi beam all 4 are on and low beam only the two outside are on.

I need a wiring diagram for fog lights oem to my toyota

The link below is a Typical fog lamp / driving lamp hookup. Keep in mind that in most states, for these lamps to be 'legal' (and thus pass inspection), you must wire them such that:

1. You can cut them off (in other words, there must be a switch installed to turn them off)

and

2. They may only be operated with the low beams. (therefore, you must power your on/off switch from the low beam circuit)
