I would recommend picking up a Haynes manual. They have excellent wiring diagrams and very good information on all areas of your vehicle. If you do not want to buy one, though, you can get a free one by logging on to autozone.com and registering for a free account. Add your car to your garage and they let you use online manuals similar to a Haynes' or Chilton's with diagrams. i cannot say for certain how good it will be, though, as i have had some good and some not as good experiences with their manuals. But, hey, for free? It is at least worth a look.

My 2007 grand prix gxp is jerking in the morning when i first start my car
i had the same with mine. you may have interior hydrolic leakage in which case you would need a new transmission or some good type of sealent for it.

check the small earth ******** the baseplate under the points in the distributor and make sure its still soldered to the plate. iff thats all good it may be the ballast resistor between the coil and the distributor.
