I'm trying to find out why my oil light comes on while I'm driving and the car acts like it wants to shut off in my 1993 buick park avenue. What would make it do that?

Check oil level, 1993 cars have a lot o miles on them and engines wear our. The oil light comes on just before engine damage begins. Stop driving and check oil level. If you have add more tan 1 quart, your engine is losing oil, either by a leak or oil consumption cause by worn rings, piston or engine bore.
Good luck

Oil leaking behind harmonic balancer . What kind of seal is needed to make this repair?

I suspect you love your car and it has served you well for nearly 20 years ... That would be the front main bearing seal ...I suggest you try some specialty oil on this ... the actual repair is major amd may cost more than the car is worth ...

1993 buick lesabre my oil pump stopped pumping oil in the engine. Where is the oil pump located? do I need to adjust the timing chain?

Oil pumps on these do not go bad. The oil pressure sensor could be bad giving you a false reading. If not the only other thing could be is a clogged up oil pickup screen inside the oil pan. also get a delco pf47 filter

Buick 1993 oil filter

If it is not on the front of the motor, it is more than likely on the back of the motor. Just jack up the car (be sure to put a jack stan under for safety) then crawl under and you will find it
