1994 Ford f250-Remote key pad won't unlock doors so opened with

1994 ford f-250 - Remote key pad won't unlock doors so opened with the key. Heard a ticking sound, Doors automatically relocked in about a min. Truck wouldn't do anything when key turned to start. Son in law pushed a little silver button by brake pedal with key turned to accessory. After a few tries, car started and ticking stopped BUT entry pad still does not work even with a new battery. I'm afraid to drive for fear the anti theft device will shut down the engine again. Please advise

1994 F-250 Heater Core
Answer for a 1995 F250:

Remove the glove-box door. Behind that is the heater core cover on the interior, passenger side of the firewall. Remove that cover and there is the heater core. Open the hood and look where the heater hoses enter the front right passenger area of the exterior side of the firewall. Disconnect the two heater hose clamps and you can then remove the heater core.

How do you re-program the security code on a 2007
FORD KEY PADS
  • Enter permanent factory code
  • Press the 1/2 button within 5 seconds to enter programming mode
  • Within 5 seconds enter new code, doors will lock, unlock to verify code, this erases previous codes remotes will also need to be programmed. (MAYBE)
KEY PADS/REMOTES
  • Insert key, turn ignition off-to- on eight times in succession, ending with key in on position doors will lock, unlock to verify in programming mode
  • Press any button on new remote, doors will lock, unlock to verify
  • Do the previous step with the second remote, doors will lock unlock to verify.
  • Turn ignition off. Doors will again lock, unlock to verify.
NOTE-Some vehicles use 5 turns of the key instead of 8

1994 ford explorer limited anti-theft
Two tips:
* If your anti-theft system is sounding (horn honking/lights flashing)you press the panic button on your key fob to shut it off.

* If your anti-theft system is armed (but not triggered) it is disarmed when you unlock the door(s) using your unlock button on your keyfob, the key pad on the driver's door, or your key.

When I press the button un the door, not all doors are locked.

Ready remote Brand after market keyless entry remote start the Door lock /Unlock feature wont work when the button is pushed i can hear the unit beep but nothing happens at all all other features work...
that is because the push button pad is broken inside the remote box unit or either it is not making contact with the switch in the alarm remote. may need to replace the push button remote box.

Drivers power lock will not unlock with remote.
the door lock actuator is defective, they get really hard to move when they go bad, that is why the difficulty with the key.
