You do not need to remove the dash, just the instrument cluster, to do this, remove the bolt in the hood latch, then the bolt on the other side of the steering column cover panel, then the panel will pop out, this will uncover two screws on the instrument cluster finish panel, remove these two screws, and the three pointing upwards in front of your gauge cluster, this panel will then come out, disconnect battery, remove the four screws and the instrument panel will come out, unlpug it, check to see which bulb is the service light, and replace!

2001 Buick Legal LS dash board mileage light is very dim, the svs light and antilock light stay on

If the dashboard mileage light on your 2001 Buick Regal LS is very dim and the Service Vehicle Soon (SVS) light and antilock light stay on, there could be a few potential causes for this issue. Here are some things you can check:
  1. Dim dashboard light: If the dashboard mileage light is very dim, it could be due to a burnt-out bulb or a problem with the dimmer switch. Try turning up the brightness using the dimmer switch, and if that doesn't work, check the bulb and replace it if necessary.
  2. SVS light and antilock light: The SVS light and antilock light staying on could indicate a problem with the car's computer system or with the antilock brake system. It could be caused by a faulty sensor, a wiring issue, or a problem with the computer itself. It's recommended to have the car's computer system scanned for error codes to determine the root cause of the issue.
  3. Battery or charging system: A weak battery or faulty alternator can cause electrical issues in the car, which could be related to the dim dashboard light and the warning lights staying on. Have the battery and charging system checked to rule out this possibility.

Hello, I need to replace the bulb in the instrument cluster in my 1996 Buick century V6.I'm unable to see my speedometer at night while I'm driving and it's a big problem.

First you will need 1/4 inch socket set, Philip screw driver, and a plastic panel remove tool. Pry off panels around your instrument cluster .
Remove four screws holding your cluster in place , pull forward and disconnect and remove. Replace all bulbs , verify repair then enjoy your day. Good luck

2003 Volvo v40 Runs awesome Won't pass smog because check engine light won't light. wouldn't it throw a code if it had a bad connection or broken wire? No codes it just doesn't work. HELP

There is a light bulb inside the dashboard that needs to be replaced. You unscrew the dashboard and then unclip the dash cluster out from the dashboard and replace the bulb behind the check engine light slot. Should take less than a half hour. Most auto parts stores stock the bulbs.

2005 Lexus RX330 HID ballast replacement, passenger side headlight. What is the removal procedure please?

I have a 2005 Lexus Rx330 with HID AFS headlight. My passenger side light went out. I thought the bulb burnt out, so I bought a new bulb. After replacing the new bulb, it happened exactly like my old bulb. It light up lightly and then total black out. What's wrong with it? I thought the ballast burnt. I called Lexus dealer and asked for the new ballast/transformer. Surprised me, they don't know what is it. They told me they only know the wiring harness and the socket, but not the ballast ??????? Could you tell me what do I need to replace?

Thanks,

My Sienna 2004 dashboard lights won't come on, tho

do the gauges still work? if they do then it might be a loose wire for the illumination bulbs, or the bulbs are burnt out which will need to be replaced. If the intire cluster doesn't work then check fuses and relays and remove the instrument cluster and make sure the wire connector to it had no cuts and is tight.

RE: Dashboard light out on the right side, at the fuel gauge

remove the trim around the cluster which there is two screws the trim maybe a little hard to come loose what i do pull down in the center at the top to break the seal then pull out there is approx. 4 screws that hold the cluster in yow can buy the bulbs separate just make sure you have the vin to give them at the dealer and tell them what part of the cluster is out may have to take a bulb in to show them they could possibly match it up some of those bulbs are interchangeable
