Remember, the leak is detected at the bottom. Follow it to it's source.

Just like a roof leak, the water shows up where the roof meets the wall but the leak is way up above.

BMW E46 318i Fuel consumption problem it is apparently using 1 mile of fuel every 100 meters. BMW E46 318i

Could be many things, but fuel pressure regulator, leaking injectors are most likely. DO NOT DRIVE UNTIL FIXED. If the fuel is really getting into the oil pan, oil will be diluted and could damage engine bearings.

316i engine 318i e36

Check compression and timing. Then check sensors(MAF, oil pressure sensor). Don't crank engine too long. Cranking engine may pour a lot of petrol into your engine oil.

BMW 318i E46 oil leaking once the car is started. But does not leak when car is switched off at all.

1) your engine has worn or damaged valve stem oil seals.
2) valve steam excessively worn
3)plugged drain back holes
4)engine oil being blown ut past the intake manifold gasket
5)punctured automatic transmission modulator diaphragm
6)oil viscosity is too low.

A red warning light comes on when I drive my BMW 318i dolphin.

Please refer to the owners manual for red light warning, it can be low oil pressure or hot engine or emissions system. If you don't have an owqners manual you can find used ones on eBay Motors.

My 2002 BMW 318i e46 oil pressure light goes off with start up and comes back on after a few seconds and stays on for 90 seconds -can any body help please( the car has done 350000 km

The VERY 1ST thing you need done here is to have a mechanical test gauge hooked up to the engine and verify the oil pressure is ok, then if it is replace the oil pressure sending unit on the engine. Do not drive this until you are sure the pressure is good, you can quickly burn up the bearings and ruin a very expensive engine.

I have bmw 318I the oil indicator for motor appear when use break

The engine is low on oil. but assuming it is not.
The engine is either idling to low .
The engine oil pressure itself is low. The engine oil pressure switch is leaking or not reading the oil pressure in the car.
I assume there is not knocking noise from the engine.
I would check for any oil leaks on the engine .
IF there are no leaks , I would change the oil pressure sesnor or switch first .
This could lead into major engine work.

Good luck
