Yes, as long as the O2 sensor screw tightly and the clip (plug in match) dont recomend any cutting or rigging the wire it self. all O2 sensors has built with the same concept.

2003 Chrysler Town & Country po171 code

DTC P0171 - System Too Lean (Bank 1)
Basically this means that an oxygen sensor in bank 1 detected a lean condition (too much oxygen in the exhaust). On V6/V8/V10 engines, Bank 1 is the side of the engine that has cylinder #1.

Note: This DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) is very similar to P0174, and in fact your vehicle may show both codes at the same time.

I would suggest that you take a look at the front oxygen sensor. Typically speaking the oxygen sensor causes this code to appear. Here is the possible cause list from the manual for your car.

Trouble Code: P0171 (2.5L V6 Auto) - Fuel System Lean (Bank 1)

Possible Causes:
Air leaks in intake manifold, exhaust pipes or exhaust manifold
Base engine mechanical problem causing a lean A/F condition
Fuel control Sensor is out of calibration (e.g., ECT, IAT or MAP)
Fuel delivery component fault (clogged filter, low fuel pressure)
O2 element is contaminated, deteriorated or it has failed
Vacuum hose is disconnected, broken, leaking or loose

Hope this helps (remember to rating this answer ans leave us a testimonial comment). Thank you for using FixYa.

P0032 Oxygen sensor heater problem. This is on a 2004 Chrysler Town and Country 3.8 L V6.

The sensor in question is behind the engine on the exhaust manifold.

You can test the heater in the sensor with an ohmmeter using the following procedure:
  1. Disconnect the electrical harness from the sensor.
  2. The white wires in the sensor connector are the power and ground circuits for the heater.
  3. Connect the ohmmeter test leads to the terminals of the white wires in the heated oxygen sensor connector.
  4. Check the resistance of the sensor, if it is not within 4-7 ohms, replace the sensor.

Could a bad 02 sensor affect shifting in my 1996 chrysler town & country? When I started having problems I put a scanner on it, and the only code it put out was for a oxygen sensor. Could the 02 sensor...

Yes, the car will probably shift harder (if it has an automatic transmission) and it won't shift correctly when you try to accelerate at speeds over 30 MPH (it will downshift too many gears).

Where is the oxegen sensor located on a 2000 chrysler town and country 3.8 liter. does the oxegen sensor have a fuse

the oxygen sensor is located in the exhuast pipe, there could be more than one sensor, maybe 4 sensors on a 6 cylinder car and 2 sensors on a 4 cylinder car,so youre gonna have to know which one is bad,if the check engine light is on it will tell you which position sensor is bad like bank 1 sensor 2 something like that, also there is NO fuse for the o2 sensors
