Its probably the ignition module in the distributor, can be intermittent,or stop when hot, sometimes module is intergrated into distributor so it may come as 1 unit, fairly common wont fix itself

If you have spark but extra fuel, then you probably have a carburetor problem

1987 toyota camry was running wont start, will not crank, replaced starter twice in the last six months thinking that was the problem

Try moving gear lever from park to neutral then starting, if does not start check starter relay, solenoid or ignition switch, contacts could be worn

The car would start if i would put fuel in carberator then stall but the last time i did it died and i checked the spark by pulling a plug wire off no spark ?

most likey the ignitor or coil both these on that model should be in the distributer i had the same problem with my 1987 honda but it wouldnt start after running and stopped when hot it had no spark i was told it was the ignitor but ended up being the coil these are easy to change yourself

No spark in 93 toyota camry 4cyl

The Toyota 4 cylinder engines have a problem with the electronic units inside the distributor. You will need to replace the entire distributor to fix the problem. You can get aftermarket distributorsat ebay or similar sites for alot cheaper than the originals. It's an easy swap that will take about an hour to do if you are mildly mechanically inclined.
