Per diagnostic codes i have replaced CTS and MAF on 1993 Mazda 626 2.5 6cyl, now it stalls and quits at a stop, does this have to do with clearing the codes after the work is done, does the computer need more time to adjust? The car drove fine after the replacement parts, one recommendation was to drive at least 20 miles under multiple conditions, after about 25 miles i filled up the tank, and then i got about 5 miles and it stalled quit and wont start, maybe an adjustment on the throttle screw, i am lost and out of money any help would be appreciated.

Classic symptoms. Clean throttle body and MAF. Check for diagnostic codes.

I had the same issue and my maf sensor hoses were bad. It could be those or your maf sensor for the car dying while idling

As a first course of action I strongly suggest that you have the car scanned to know the fault code and the fix. But I do suspect that you have a faulty MAF (mass air flow) sensor and TPS (throttle position sensor). If one of these sensors are faulty, stalling can really occur. Have it replaced and you'll be good.

If you clear the codes and the MAF code is generated again, AND the connector is OK to the MAF, then replace the MAF. Also, be sure your air filter is ok and the air horn (air flow tubing) from the air filter housing to the throttle body is securely connected and has no cracks in the rubber. If ok, replace the MAF sensor.

CODE 14
Trouble Code 14 indicates that the Coolant Temperature Sensor (CTS) is reporting abnormally high readings. CTS is used to control fuel mixture, timing, idle speed, TCC and EGR operations among others. The thermistor used has a low resistance when hot, rising as the coolant cools. This error then, indicates a very low resistance in the CTS circuit.
CODE 15

The thermistor used has a high resistance when cold, lowering as the coolant warms. This error then, indicates a very high resistance in the CTS circuit.
CODE 33
Trouble Code 33 indicates that the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor is reporting more air is entering the engine than makes sense based on RPM and TPS. The MAF sensor produces a frequency output; around 30 Hz at idle to 150 Hz under acceleration. The frequency varies proportionally to airflow. The ECM monitors the frequency and thus determines airflow into the engine. Typical idle MAF is 5 to 7 grams per second.

i had the same problem a few months ago. check your fuel filter. mine was on the car for some time and after replaceing it, car runs great. hope this helps. i would also check your air cleaner. if to dirty will run rich and with a dirty fuel filter your car will stall.

I am having a similar problem and my mechanic thinks it's a fuel regulator. Part was ordered and it's being replaced this week. We'll see. Unrelated, I'm/we're having a heck of a time finding an oil pan...mine is very blistered....but it is 17 years old.
