My 94 Civic EX is over heating when I'd drive on the freeway above 80 mph(not much above) for a few miles and then slower the speed(like coming on to traffic jam). If driving locally or maintain less than 70 on freeway, then it's fine. Minor traffic jam is okay, too. Fan works, radiator, timing belt and water pump has recently been changed. No loss of coolant if driving normal city speed. However, if the heat does go up(cause of driving above speed), the coolant is significantly loss. I checked the oil, normal. There is no white smoke exhaust.

94 cadillac deville dies when i slow down

I have seen this problem before and the cause could be TCC Staying in Lock-up or an Electrical Issue within the Engine itself or a Fuel Delivery Issue.

If the Transmission TCC is the issue, try driving at slower speeds (below 30 and come to a stop, does it Shut off then? Increase Speed by 10 and try again. Does it react differently once you go above 42-45 MPH?

Cold auto Transmission won't shift into 3 gear until after driving 1 mile or so (driving at about 35 mgh) pickup then downshifts from 3 to 2nd then back to 3rd a few times untill I get to work (7 miles...

Sounds like a bad speed sensor. Perform an ODBII scan soon. ECU should delay upshift until coolant temp senses warm up. It will not work right unless a signal is present from speed sensor.

1997 Honda Civic dies while driving but will restart

It sounds like your car needs a good solid tune up. It sounds like the injectors are fighting to get fuel so the slower you go the chances of you stalling is even greater. And the faster you go the fuel system is just getting just enough fuel that the car needs to keep running.....I hate to say this but it sounds like you need a tune up.

At idle engine surge's up and down usually a few hundred RPM's

DS THIS PROCEDURE
Here are some of the causes of surges, stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation (and other problems), it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.
