If your car was driving ok before you changed the plugs and wires it would seem that you may have put them back in the wrong order, check your firing order and then check wires.

My 2002 Ford Taurus is scanning missfire, I've replaced the plugs wires and coil pack. Still doing the same thing.what could it be?

Check the injectors. Look for a vacuum leak. Check for an intake leak around the cylinder that is miss firing.

When i give the car gas in wants to stal out and wont go

here are a few things that can do that to a car, the first and most important is the gas pump which could be breaking down, loosing psi. Secondly your plugs might need to be changed, etc plug wires. And the last thing is if your electrical wiring is damage it could cause current to break down while the veichle is driving causing it to stall .

1985 Chevy El Camino 305ci. Turned over good but wouldn't fire. Replaced contrrol module and it started fine for about 2 months, then did the same thing. Replaced dist cap, rotor & coil. Start

Had an 84 silverado 305 that did the same thing. Try giving it a full tune up. Plugs, wires... Mine turned out to be fouled plugs. I didn't find that out till after i tore it down & put a timing set in it. Wasn't getting good enough spark.

I jhave a 1999 ford taurus and the check engine light is on and the only code is for the oxygen sensor and i already replaced the sensor and the problem has gotten worse. The wires the oxygen sensor plugs...

I would assume there is a reason the wires are chewed up

You need to replace or repair the wire situtation, but not at
the cost of $1000.00

You replace the wire damage one wire at a time,by soldering
& heat shrinking them

If you depend on a repair shop, rather then doing all your own
work your in big trouble. Shops don't like that kind of work &
don't perform it well as a result. Not to offend those that do good
work, but it isn't standard repair shop type work & a dealer is
out of the question. Their $1000.00 parts swappers

I know I need plugs, plug wires. Do I need a distributor or coils?

Spark Plugs ---get replaced every 3 years & around 60,000 miles

Wires if you have them, sometimes last 20 years

If you have to ask about coils & distributors, you need to
educate yourself,a lot & soon & keep doing it

Other than the plugs,NOTHING EVER gets replaced on any
vehicle without testing a component & it has to fail a test.

I have a 1998 mazda mpv. the engine light is flashing 2 times per second and it seems to be puttering. what can the problem be? ive checked the oil and topped off the oil but im still having the same issue

the problem is doing damage to the catalytic converter...The only time the engine light will flash is when you are doing damage to the cat... dont drive it cats are extremely expensive to fix. I am assuming misfire.. replace spark plugs, wires and coil pack.. i would start off wit hthe wires and plugs first as they are least expensive

1999 Ford Taurus 3.0L V6 24V DOHC Duratec Engine Engine was misfiring, plugs replaced, KAM erased, Idles Slow and Rough. OBDII says misfire ocurring on cyl 4 & 5. Codes P0300, P0304 and P0305

i would check the plug wires and the coils you check the plug wires for bad spots at night start the motor up and look at the plugs if you see a spark arch out the wire and to a peace of metal then the plug wires need to be replace.
