With oil filter you'll need 5 quarts. After changing oil and filter run briefly and check for leaks. Shut down the engine and check oil level is correct.

Buy 5 quarts of oil. When you are putting the oil in, only put 4.5 quarts in at first. Start the vehicle and let it run for about 30 seconds and shut it off. Wait a minute then check your oil level. If it is not at the full mark, put the last remaining .5 quart in, wait a minute then check oil level.
If for some reason you find that you went over the full mark, you can open the drain plug and let a very little drain out.
4 to 4.5 quarts. put in 4 and start the car for 20 seconds, now turn engine off, and check oil level after a minute or so.
