Overheating....changed waterpump/thermostat! Just changed water pump and thermostat....car is still overheating? What should I do?

If your heater is working i would say you got a bad thermostat if it isnt blowing any hot air you probably have a blown head gasket

Check for the rad fan. Turn on the A/C the rad fan should come on right then. If not check for a bad fuse or a bad fan motor.

Take the overflow tube out of recovery tank and immerse in container of water. Run engine and watch for bubbles. (head gasket) Is your fan coming on? (fan or relay)

Couple of thoughts. are you losing water/antifreeze, do you have the right mixture 50/50 water/antifreeze. You did not say if the thermostat is removed or replaced. If thermostat is stuck closed water will no circulate. Are you getting any flow from the water pump. If your heater core is bypassed you should not get any hot air from the heater in the vehicle. Make sure your oil levels are good.

My honda keeps overheating i changed the thermostat and theres no leaking water. what else could it be??

It could be the water pump not circulating the water, this is a common failure when overheating. I hope this helps :)

Car is overheating. Not sure if I should replace

If your car is leaking coolant from the water pump. Replace the water pump. If not replace thermostat first. It is the cheapest out of the 2.

1998 bmw overheating at times has had the waterpump

This is typical of BMW 318 and others I suppose.
If after changing the radiator, the hoses, the water pump then the other cause is leakage of coolant at the back of the engine block.

This is hidden but there is a hard plastic outlet which gives away after 5 or more years. If the leakage is serious you can notice the coolant disappearing very fast.

Worse it could be the gasket leaking.

Water overheating on a year 2000 seat toledo 1.9tdi se, is the water pump easy to replace??

Water pumps are not normally what causes overheating, in fact that would be my last item to change. The only way that a water pump fill cause overheating is if the impeller has come off the shaft or completely worn down. I would first start with the thermostat. If this dosn't fix it, then I would be looking at the condition of the radiator I.E. is it plugged, are the fins up front full of bugs and debris ect. Then I would also check the cooling fan operation, does it come on when engine is hot? also does it come on with the A.C. operation-it should. Then last of all the water pump- and no its not easy on this one, due to lack of clearance.

Kia Rio overheating although everything seems ok

Possible early signs of a water pump problem. A failing waterpump will circulate coolent when the RPMS are high but when you slow down, so does the waterpump, thereby causing overheating.

Overheating

there are three hoses leading to the water pump. the biggest one oviously goes to the thermostat housing, but the other two are much smaller 1 inch hoses, one of wich goes on the water pump and the other on the thermostat housing. if you follow the hoses one will connect to the upper part of the overflow for the radiator after hitting a T in the lines, that hose connects to the thermostat housing, and the other goes to the water pump its self.
