This indicates that a part of the EVAP control system is no longer functioning correctly. The EVAP system consists of many parts, including (but not limited to) the gas cap, fuel lines
, carbon canister, purge valve, and other hoses. The (EVAP) emission control system prevents the escape of fuel vapors from a vehicle's fuel system. Fuel vapors are routed by hoses to a charcoal canister for storage. Later, when the engine is running a purge control valve opens allowing intake vacuum to siphon the fuel vapors into the engine.

A code P0441 could mean one or more of the following has happened:

  • Bad vacuum switch
  • Broken or damaged EVAP line or canister
  • Open in PCM purge command circuit
  • Open or short in Voltage feed circuit to Purge Solenoid
  • Faulty purge solenoid
  • Restriction in EVAP solenoid, line or canister
  • Corrosion or resistance in purge connector
  • Bad PCM

2006 kia optima error code P0441

The P0441 code means that the control module has detected a leak in the Evaporative Emission (EVAP). Loose fuel tank filler cap is the most common cause that triggers the P0441 code.

What are Fault codes P0441 + P0704 On my 05 Plate Octavia VRS?

Code P0441 seems to relate to the EVAP Emission Control System. Either there is a blockage or a leak in one of the valves (N80 or N115) or the pipes between throttle body and tank breather are broken.
Code P0704 seems to be a faulty clutch pedal position switch

P0441 Code. Natural Vacuum Leak Detection (NVLD)?

Look at the following link. It definatly does make sence but possibly not the problem. Personaly I would probably start there after looking at the gas cap & hoses to the charhol canister. http://www.permoveo.ltd.uk/tabid/122/OBD-Error-Code/P0441/Diagnostics/Dodge/Default.aspx

I have a 2003 kia optima and it failed the emissions and gave the p0441 code. what is the problem? Or the most common problem may be.

the p0441 code has to do with the fuel i have heard of people simply replacing the gas cap or simply cleaning it to get the p0441 code to go away you may need a new cap thoe. the canister purge valve would need replaced if that dosent work. those are the most common fixes. i hope this info helps you

Code P0441

Code P0441 = evap code (auxiliary emissions control systems),You could try replacing the fuel cap first (make sure it has the double gasket), but most likely the charcoal canister has failed or you have a leak in a hose related to the evap system.
