It looks like you've got a shortcut somewhere in cabling. I'd try to disconnect output from audio first.

SOURCE: electrical

Next step is to check the circuit breakers and relays. Usually one of the three is causing this type of problem.

SOURCE: Radio and electric windows not working

Yes, it is most likely a fuse issue. Two things going out at the same time usually leads to the fuse block.
The radio and the clock are on two separate fuses. The clock runs on the constant power (yellow) wire to the radio... and the radio itself runs on the red Ign./accessory wire.
pull the fuse cover off and look on the sticker on the cover for the radio fuse and check it. I'm betting it is burned out.

SOURCE: WINDOWS,POWER MIRRORS AND RADIO DON'T WORK.NO

Thats not good because then you have to trace the problem out from the back side.
Possible scenarios include but are not limited by:
1. The fuse holder has become damage inside so there is no connection.(rust, bad connection from factory just gave out, etc)
2. The source wire to the fuse block has become compromised at the source or perhaps going through the firewall. Maybe pinched during some other repair.

SOURCE: i have a 2004 ford

Sometimes the radio has its own fuse. If the radio is aftermarket, check the wiring in the back of the radio to see if there is an in-line fuse holder.

Intrigue stereo shows clock and gets power but doesn't light up and play CD or radio

There can be up to three separate power lines to the radio - ignition, dash light and auxiliary (always on). Check the ignition power wire for good connection and possible blown fuse.

Condition
Some customers may comment on any of the following conditions:

• The disc icon on the radio will not illuminate.
• The radio displays an "INITIALIZING" message for approximately 30 seconds after vehicle start up.
Important: Do not attempt to play CDs with paper labels on them in this CD player. The labels may warp or wrinkle and jam the CD player mechanism. Refer to the Compact Disc Care and Cleaning procedure (Document ID# 1656123) in SI for more information.

2. Reprogram the radio using the Service Programming System (SPS) with the latest software available on TIS2WEB. Refer to the SPS procedures and the Radio Programming and Set procedure in SI for more information. As always make sure your Tech 2® is updated with the latest software version.
3. Verify proper operation of the radio and make sure that all CDs can be ejected.

My cds won't play and they will not eject. I have an in-trunk cd changer.

If your radio works and you press mode .Does head unit recognize cd,s
It should display no cd,s cd error etc
The reason i ask this is to confirm that connection is ok to stacker
To eject PRESS AND HOLD eject button, insert credit card under cartridge, push fully in and move left/right untill eject
This will locate micro switch,so you can check discs

Cd error on my Ford 2004 expedition

I have seen this often..assuming there isn't a CD jambed in it....usually means you have to send it out for repair...its most of the time an internal problem.....you can try first is disconnect the plug at the back and reinstall them and turn it back on...If it still shows ERROR....replace the radio... If its a stuck CD...FORD radios DO NOT LIKE homemade CDs, they are to thick, and labels hang it up...If this is the problem use a "needle nose pliers" and extract it the best you can AND DON'T USE COPIED CD's....hope this helps you..GL

Mechanic took unit out of dash, and top off of unit. Ejected CD bu moving the eject mechanism. Replaced top and unit.
Works and plays cds. Cost $25.00 And i tipped the mechanic $10.00 for his knowledge.
