The security alarm and engine immobilizer are functions of the Body Control Module (BCM) and the ECM. You can't just pull fuses. When the battery goes completely flat, or is disconnected, you just need to reset the Security System which is done via the Remote Fob.

my guess it cranks ok.
fuses ok
immobilizer not active, SKIS/SKIM.?
so compression is at spec.
and if it is ,test fuel diesel works?????
Glow plugs work? (we measure current)

then pump
scan pcm for errors, not all errors glow the silly CEL lamp.

yes, engine ok, EFI bad.

no, bad engine, engine must be good to run.

EFI cant run bad engines..

so compression at spec......????



why beat the EFI to death,

all engines run on test fuel.

with gas engines, takes spark and good engine

on diesel, takes only good engine. simple huh (and some air)



for test fuel try diesel in a spray bottle into the injection port.

this is called basics....... basic basics.

1: good engine, and pumps air ok. (must breath)

2: good fuel.

3: test fuel works now. if not check above.

The brand is of less importance than the battery specs

The battery should be the same group size,same physical size and same Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) as came with the vehicle when new
You sometimes can increase the CCA, after new products come out.
I would sugest the largest CCA Battery, that is the correct Group Size
Around 750 or more CCA

the tires & rims that come with your vehicle are designed to meet all the specs of your vehicle. When you change sizes and styles, you then need to get the computer re programmed with the tire changes you have made. It affects your speedometer, your transfer case, your fuel (mpg) and the performance of the engine to the wheals. Also you can damage your transmission and rear end. So my advise is to buy a high end tire that meets origional specs. Look at the Toyo's they are great tires, great performance and no alterations are needed. Pluss they look cool as hell so try that

Your Jeep Grand Cherokee uses a group 34 type battery. The sizes vary from manufacturer to manufacturer but, the standard size is 10 1/4 " x 6 13/16" x 7 7/8" or 260mm x 173mm x 200mm. i actually removed my 2 front seats very easily as a novice. There really is only i think 4 bolts that need to come out 2 in front and 2 in back. If i can remember correctly i believe it was a larger metric size. Although i dont have power seats, if you do just look for the clip connector and disengage
