That is a code for the secondary (spark) circuit on cylinder number 3. It is usually caused by a bad connection between the coil and the plug (take the coil off the plug and check for moisture in the boot). If not, it might be a bad coil...
p1684 means the battery was disconnected within the last 50 starts!!
this means that the light should go off, if it continues to set that same code i believe it's because the battery voltage is too low!!
so buy a new battery and that should fix your problem!!:-)
The check engine light may come on for several reasons.
It is not necessary to worry as it may be as simple as putting the gas cap on without fully clicking it shut!. If this is the case it will go away by itself in about a week at most! You can take your car to an auto parts store to have them run a diagnostic (Some will do this for free). If your car is running fine, re-tighten the gas cap, give it a week or have it diagnosed if you still feel uncomfortable with it.
