All my gauges quit working at same time. fuses seem ok. this happened once before under warranty & dealer replaced inst. cluster. same thing again ?

It may be that the speedo and temp are mechanical, whereas the tach and fuel are electrical. Check fuse for inst. cluster for clean and tight fitment. Check electrical connection at back of inst. cluster.

Possible Things
1. Gas Gauge Unit Faulty
2. Cluster Unit Faulty (Which Shows the Indication)
3. Wire Disconnected form Cluster meter to Gas Gauge

GAUGES NOT WORKING

If all voltages checked ok, then most probably its faulty instrument cluster board on which gauges are connected. Yes if cluster circuit board looks ok, then also it can be faulty. Somewhere there is minute short or burn on board then such problem arises.

Also check the fuse box. One under hood and other under dash.

Inspect each and every fuse and see if all are fine or not.

Look under the hood in the fuse/circuit breaker box. I did the same thing
and it was under the hood in the large box. Check the 15AMP DRL
(Daylight Running Lights) fuse. It's the only fuse in the second row from the right
on your inside fuses. Replace it with another new 15 AMP fuse. Fuses can test OK
but when you put a load on them they fail. I found your Owners Manual online
but there is no reference to an underhood fuse/circuit breaker box. If you want a copy of the
manual send an email to [email protected] It is a 20 Megabyte file

Checked Every fuse in the fuse box (no small task).This includes #4 - Power point Instrument Panel, #14 - Day time running lamps (auto lamps doesn't work nor does auto lock), #27 - ignition switch run feed, #35 - Instrument Cluster, #41 - Instrument Cluster, #42 - Delayed Accessory, #45 - Ignition switch run/start feed, #102 - Door locks body security module, #103 - Ignition switch, #110 - Ignition switch, & #116 - Ignition switch. But I also check all other ones as well, they all register OK. AC panel & radio work. Turn signals work. Mileage does not work, trip computer does. So, basically, everything works except auto head-lights, auto locks, and the dash cluster (no MPH, RPM, mileage display, Fuel, Temp, Tran Temp, and Oil Pressure).

check the instrument cluster fuse if its good change the instrument cluster.

In my case, simply removing and reseating the IPC/DIC fuse restored the gauges to full functionality.

I had the similar problem until recently in my 1997 Chrysler Intrepid (In Canada they're called Chrysler for some strange reason). There could be two things with your intrepid.

1) Body Control Module (BCM) - There are ground wires and other important electrical components leading to your BCM. Over time and with some unknown wear (according to Chysler) the wires fray and somehow short circuit your BCM. This is quite difficult to replace and expensive if you go to a dealer. I was quoted almost up to $5000+ for repairs and they would not guarantee it was a fix. Still I suggest to find one at a junkyard and try to replace it yourself.

2) Instrument Panel Cluster - My new junkyard BCM worked for about a month bringing everything to life, then the same problem happend again. The next step for me was to replace the entire front Instrrument cluster ( Odometer, fuel readings etc) Ever since replacing this front panel, no problems have existed since then. Its been about 3 months, and all the gauges are working fine.

These cars have bad instrument clusters with small motors to work the gauges. Install a replacement cluster and it will fix the problem
