The blower motor location can change from year-to-year. It can also change with the trim level of the vehicle. A vehicle that has front and rear climate controls may be configured differently than a vehicle that has front controls only. The following are two different repair procedures. One is for blower motors located and accessed in the engine compartment, the other is for blower motors mounted inside the vehicle.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Engine Compartment Mounted

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine air cleaner assembly.
  3. If necessary for clearance, remove the left hand wiper arm linkage.
  4. Detach the wire harness connector from the blower motor.
  5. Disconnect the motor cooling hose.
  6. Remove the blower motor assembly retaining screws
  7. Carefully pull the blower motor assembly out from the firewall.

Heater hose diagram 1999 Chevy Venture with rear heat and air.

I couldn't find a heater hose diagram specific to the 1999 Chevrolet Venture with rear heat and air, but I can give you the general location of the heater hoses and how to identify which ones go to the rear heat. The heater hoses on a 1999 Chevy Venture are located on the passenger side of the engine compartment. There are two heater hoses, one that is hot and one that is cold. The hot heater hose will be connected to the heater core, which is located under the dashboard. The cold heater hose will be connected to the engine. To identify which heater hose goes to the rear heat, you can look for the hose that is connected to the heater core outlet that is labeled "Rear Heat." The other heater hose will be connected to the heater core outlet that is labeled "Heating Core Inlet." Once you have identified the heater hoses that go to the rear heat, you can reconnect them to the heater core. Be sure to use new clamps when you reconnect the hoses. Here are the steps on how to replace the heater hoses on a 1999 Chevy Venture with rear heat and air: Disconnect the negative battery cable. Drain the coolant from the radiator. Remove the heater hoses from the engine and heater core. Install the new heater hoses. Fill the cooling system with coolant. Reconnect the battery cable. Start the engine and check for leaks.

How to replace heater core in 2002 chev s-10 bottom hose is warm top hose is cold

Well first, if your talking about the radiator hoses when you say the bottom hose is warm and the top is cold, that would suggest to me a stuck thermostat. If not, then the heater core is located inside the truck under the dash. You can follow the heater hoses under the hood to the firewall and that will tell you where, under the dash the core is located. It is kind of a big job, as all the under dash covers will need to come out as well as the glove box. The heater core is inside the heater box, a black plastic box that will also need to be removed. It is important to note that when you are reinstalling the heater box after you change the core, it must be completely sealed, either with RTV or two sided insulating tape.
