My transmission is slipping when accelerating from a stop. 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix, 3.1, filter and fluid changed one year ago.

The forward clutches are going bad is the most likely problem. To repair the trans should be rebuilt.

Sounds like your transmission is slipping or your torque converter is bad.---check the transmission fluid level and see if it smells burnt and discolored.

Whenever I turn left and accelerate quickly, the transmission seems to "slip". It does not do that when I accelerate and turn right. Any ideas?

Have you checked the fluid level. It will do this when it's low. The fluid runs away from the filter pick-up.

2001 Grand Prix SE tranny trouble.

You can't use those two words in the same sentence when talking about transmissions. Best is new (rarely done) next is a rebuild (most times if from a good reliable shop, good but not cheap) then there is the used unit from a scrapyard..cheaper than either, but if it doesn't work, you get to pay r&r as many times as it takes, even if the yard guarantees it. (only way I'd do that is if I owned another identical car that I had driven and knew for sure the unit was good.

Grandprix 2003 code P1811 long shifting or hesitating when accelerating

Have a Code P1811 on my 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. The only thing I have noticed is it gets warm very fast. Haven't noticed any slippage with the tranny...What do I do??
