white smoke mostly is caused by over fueling so what i suggest you do is first of all check if there is no leak on the injectors and if there is none which means your valve sterm seals are damaged. When the head gasket is blown out you may have problems like :-loosing power when driving, over heating, idling problems and oil mixing with water, its not your head gasket.
Landcruiser 100 vx, 2003 model with engine number 1HD-FTE is not starting, I've found out that the fuel pump, starter, battery are all functioning well. Where next should I look at.
How many miles/km's you drive in those 3 month's ? oil consumption is normal ! Check when you first start the engine in the morning wetter or not you see a puff of blue smoke, if you see smoke , your valve seals are leaking.
1 liter oil each 2000km is normal.
A puff of smoke when you start up indicates worn valve seals. That's why all your work didn't fix the problem and it doesn't show a code. It's a pain in the --- job that requires some specialized tools so I guess it depends on how bad it bugs you,if oyu want to fix it.
possibly just condensation (steam) white-clear worse in colder enviroments
possible valve stem seals worn or gone hard
if its manual it may give small puff of (blue-grey) smoke out of exhaust in between gear changes at higher revs or on deceleration from hard rev while stationary it will also smell like burning oil
Could easily be torque converter internal broken part. This is a common problem. I would check the transmission oil filter and the pan to see if there are any metal filings anywhere. If so, you need new trans and torque converter. Rick
white smoke is water blue smoke is oil. nest time try and smell the white smoke see if it smells sweet? if it does its antifreeze. and also black smoke is fuel (like a leaky injector ) hope this helps paul
