"Car stalls when engine is cold". When accelerator is pressed the car hesitates (goes very slow) then picks up. When engine is hot there is still a slight lull in the idle speed. Tank was run pretty well empty just a day before I first noticed it 4-5 days ago. Initially the car just stumbled which was 4-5 days ago. Today it stalled all together but after a few attempts to start it started right up but stumbled for a while.
It sounds like you may have picked up some small debris from the bottom of the gas tank when you ran it empty. You may need to run a fuel/injector cleaning solution through the next tank of gas to clear the debris and consider changing your fuel filter too. Sea Foam is a great fuel additive and I recomment trying it full strength. Hope this helps!

I just brought it by a mechanic friend of mines place. He plugged into the computer and came up with an error code for the coolant temp sensor. His scan tool was unable to tell him any details about it but he figures it's faulty causing the computer to add to little fuel while the engine is cold. Thanks for your answer though. I'm going to add some gas line antifreeze and a cleaner just in case before I change out the sensor.
