The brake light is probably on because your brake fluid is low. But this is also an indication that you brake pads may also be worn and need replacement. The brake system is designed so when the pads are low the fluid will drop in the brake resovoir and turn on the brake light. So inspect your brake pads or have them inspected. A leak in the brake system could also cause the light to come on. But do not ignore the light and find out why it is on. If the brakes are good and the fluid is low you could add some brake fluid to the resovoir but I would not top it off and if the light comes on fairl quickly then the brake system may have a leak.

Beretta stalling when braking. HELP!

First I would get those brakes looked at. There are generally little wire wear switches in the brake pads. When they wear the wire off, it trips the computer something is wrong. Heavens can only guess what else it does in the ECU mind. So fix that first and then see if problem goes away.

My tail lights are on in my 1989 chevy beretta but the car is switch off an it want crank.

Likely your brake light switch has gone bad and the battery has been run down by the lights being on. the switch is above the pedal. Change the switch and re-charge your battery.

96 chevy beretta..when braking, the left rear of the car squats, left rear tire almost seems to lock up, is this just new brakes time or something more serious?

It sounds like something in the left rear drum is causing it to lock up. It may be contaminated linings, from a leaking wheel cylinder or maybe some broken hardware. You'll have to remove the drum to take a look.
