I have a 2005 nissan pathfinder, and a light just came on , it's a set of parentheses with an exclamation point in the middle, what does that mean?

The yellow exclamation point close to the center of the odometer looks like an exclamation point surrounded by parentheses. This light means you should check your tire pressure. Once you have checked the air in the tires and remedied any issues, push the "Set" button on the dashboard. The light should disappear.

Have your tire pressure checked. Yellow is good, it means to pay attention to it... :) It sounds like one of your tires is low on air...

If the battery light comes on, it means that the battery isn't getting power from the alternator. I would check to make sure the alternator belt isn't broken or loose. It could also mean your alternator is bad if the belt is in good shape. I would then take a volt meter and measure the battery voltage with the engine running. It should be around 13.5 volts if the alternator is good.

most nissans can turn this on and off. press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the remote together for 5 - 10 seccons, until the horn beeps or the lights flash. thats the way to set them on most nissans

You have problem with the tire pressure. The nissan pathfinde have a TIME PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) That means: This systems monitoring the pressure warning light iluminates, check the tire pressure in all four tires. Adjust the low pressure to the recommended cold tire pressure shown on theTire and Loading Information label located in the driver's door opening. After the pressure are adjusted, the vehicle will need to be driven at speed above 16 MPH (25 km/h) to activate the TPMS and turn off the low pressure warning light.

This would indicate that your cat is going bad. A bad sensor gives erratic readings and would set a different code.

That light indicates that your tire pressures are low in your tires.

thats your TPMS light, Tire Pressure Monitoring System. The light means that one of your tires is low on air, so check them all and fill them to the specified amount, which will be located on the drivers side door jamb.
