Re: replacing my stereo harness? or getting it to fit my...
Should go to any local junkyard to get the stock harness, or you can decipher and splice each vehicle wire to the appropriate wire on the stereo. If it was me, i'd go the junkyard route, much easier in the long run.

read (you meant main harness to radio sub harness.)
and car may have 5 or more harness for 5 or more very complex radio head end options new,so only the real service manual covers all that for sure,or if lucky 2nd fiddle here.
to not have problems in installing after market units , have the seller shop technician fit it. they have all the necessary connections and know how and if they get it wrong, the repair bill belongs to them
if you havent taken the factory stereo out of the vehicle yet, if were you i would go to an auto store and buy wiring harness that plugs into your factory harness, that gives you all the colors to match up with your aftermarket... that way nothing gets cut on or messed up... and with the electical stuff linked to the stereo system, trust me you dont want a headache like that... a harness kit only cost like 15 bucks, plus if you ever wanted to get rid of the vehicle you could take your aftermarket stereo out, and plug the factory one right back in... hope this helps
I would get a stereo installation kit for your car from Auto Zone or a local car audio store. It will have the surround for the new stereo to fit where the old one was and a harness that you can wire the new stereo to and the harness will have a plug to match the stock radio plug.
Theres a standard amongst most stereos, so if these colors apply, then you will be right, Red is Ignition power orange is direct power Black is earth blue is for phone White is for electric arial then there will be four coloured wires with matching color trace wires, these are the speaker wires. Hope this gets you going, good luck.
you have to get the cable that conects your factory deck harness to the aftermarket deck, and that will allow you to use your factory speakers and amp, the wire harness is availiable at canadian tire or any stereo shop
if he had an aftermarket stereo in the vehical then he had to cut the origional harness out of the way. the only solution for this would be to replace with another aftermarket stereo. I know this becaus ei had a ***** of a time trying to install my aftermarket.
