Question about 2003 Kia Sedona

Kia Sedona's wipers stop and start

My Kia Sedona's wipers will not park themselves and intermittent wipers stop and start at various places accross the screen. Any ideas? Fuses and relays appear good.

Perhaps the wiper motor is bad.

Kenworth 2007 T-800. Wiper intermittent selection doesn’t complete the cicle. It works but doesn’t stop in the starting position. It stop in the middle or corner of the windshield. The operating switch is...

Could be - depends on where the self parking switchgear is and the circuit.

Later vehicles that are computerised don't always use typical long tried and tested circuits but a google search produced plenty of results of fairly typical circuits that are similar but slightly different to each other. The main wiper switch is in reality two switches working in tandem and the self parking switching is built into the motor unit in various forms, making things complicated.

Adding in an intermittent wipe facility further complicates matters as the timer/relay is wired to temporarily defeat the wiper self parking. While the self parking switching of motors do wear out after long service, intermittent wiper relays do cause trouble sometimes.
As the wiper switch is new it would be worth checking the connections to it before doing anything else.

I have a 2008 Kia Sedona EX. I was keying the windshield wipers as needed while driving in light rain and they stopped working between one use and the next. They do not work on any setting.

The wiper relay fuse will be under the hood. It should be a 30amp fuse. This may or may not be your problem but would be the first place to look.

Windshield wipers stopped working

First check the fuse, if its ok, than try to listen if the wiper motor is working, if you can hear it working than the last thing is to strip the front and check if the wiper links or pivots are in place. they do pop out after some years of service.

I have a 2005 KIA Sedona, and the front wipers stopped. The fuse isn't blown and the wiper motor still works. Any idea?

I have 2002 Sedona, under the cowl the wiper linkage has a ball & socket that attaches the wiper linkage to the motor. Once in heavy snow this connection popped,I just snapped it back together and had no problem since.

Golf. Wiper parking halfway accross the screen.

Remove arms again, make sure motor in park, then attach wipers on bottom of windshield where they set normally when parked.

Wipers won't stop wiping.

Sounds like your intermittent wiper circuit is defective. Normally the intermittent feature is engaged by one of the functions on the multi-function switch (usually on the steering column). The circuit of the intermittent wiper periodically activates a relay that closes across the "Wiper On" switch. Your intermittent wiper circuit is likely defective and holding its relay closed (or the relay is stuck closed), thereby keeping the wipers on. Note: The wiper motor has an internal switch that opens when the wipers are in the park position and that is designerd to stop the wipers in the park position. When you turn on the wipers (or the intermittent relay is closed), the motor's internal switch is shunted such that the wiper does not stop at the park point of the cycle.

Windshield wipers intermittent on 2002 Windstar

2002 Windstar wipers would come on by themselves, or not work set on intermittent, driver door lock would not work sometimes, ABS and brake light would come on sometimes, the problem was in the park switch inside the wiper motor. I replaced with wrecking yard wiper motor $44.95 w/13 month warranty. no more problem. check how many pins on connector plug, mine had 5 on the wiper motor side.Take the wiper assembly off of the metal cowl, 2 nuts, & I bolt, it is easier to snap the actuator pieces off of the wiper motor that way. God Bless JMR
