2005 galant error code on CD player won't let any CD's play. How can I fix this??

Dead laser is not emitting light.
Thus, no light reflects from the CD back to the unit.
So, it reports "error".
Replace the CD-player.

you may have to remove cd player and have the cd removed .then maybe the unit may need to be serviced.dealer may be of help.

What is the error message? Also- if the disc is scratched badly, the laser in the CD player may not be able to read the disc. Try another clean CD to see if the disc is the problem.

If the cd player doesn't load discs and play them and gives one an error message, it could be that the mechanism is worn out and is in need of replacement, either by taking it to a specialist who can change it out, or by replacing the whole radio/cd player with one that works. The latter is the more common method.

there is a problem with the laser or the disc motor is worn out and not spinning at the required 600 rpm

error 1 is usually a mechanical failure code. check you manual. also you can try to clean the player. that may help. wal mart sells a cd lens cleaner.

MAKE SURE THE DISC IS NOT SCRATCHED OR DAMAGED.

disconnect battery and then try to re-enter code, then press cd on radio
