If you're not familiar with removing parts inside a car then you probably shouldn't try it. Maybe go to a radio installer and see if they can give you some tips. It sounds like you're going to have to go to someplace to have it fixed or replaced anyhow.
Remove the cover plate on the passenger side of the heater box, 3-4 screws. Unplug the motor assembly, remove 3-4 more screws that hold the motor in place and pull it down from its position. Get an aftermarket motor and installed it in the original housing with the original squirrel cage. Installation is the reverse of removal.
You may have already checked this but there is a switch located close to the overhead button that will disengage the door buttons for child safety, is that turned off?
