NOISE ON START UP DONT MEAN OVER HAUL TIME.FIRST MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING THE RIGHT OIL WEIGHT.DO A OIL CHANGE AND CHANGE OIL FILTER IF IT HAS BEEN A WHILE.I NOTICE PEOPLE WITH NEW CARS COMPLAIN ABOUT LIFTER NOISE. SOME GUYS HAS PUT A LIFTER QUIETNER IN THEIR OIL DURING A OIL CHANGE. PUTTING LIFTERS IN A ENGINE.YOU HAVE TO HAVE AT LEAST SKILL LEVEL CODE B MEANING YOU MUST HAVE BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF COMPLEX SYSTEMS.

Are the lifters hydrolicts, or do thay need ajustment its a v6 2, 5

Hi, I really would just take the vehicle to a garage, it is not very old and they could sort the problem out fairly quickly. I really would not expect tappetty/camshaft noises from a 4 yrar old car, there might be something more serious amiss than clacking valve.

GOOD LUCK

How do you adjust the values on my jeep wrangler 4.0 6cyl

as they are hydulic you should not have to adjust them,if they are rattling,it's usually due to poor oil change history, try engine flush and you may have to remove sump afterwoods if the gunk blocks up the oil pickup, filters block and unfiltered oil then circulates throughout engine and makes lifters noisy,to check hyd lifters you need a "bleed down bar"to compress lifter and measure gap between rocker and valve,if it does have adjustable rockers then it's done with engine idleing with rocker cover off ,back off nut till it rattles, thentighen it down till it stops and then 1/4 more turn

My jeep ticks constantly and the front end shakes

likely two unrelated problems. If you have good oil pressure (usually around 40psi) your lifters are sticking or you have wear on lifters, cam, rocker pivots (pick one). Cure can be as simple as using marvel oil in each oil change or replacing whatever has worn. Front end should be thoroughly checked for wear, wheel balance should be checked, tires checked for broken belts etc. Again, change anything that show up as bad.
