Sounds like the computer is in lock down. My sister has a 99 cavalier and used a cut key to start her car and a couple days later the car would not start. Tried everything then had to get a gm computer to reset the ecu. I have heard about the anti theft systems in GM cars that can cause this as well. Look into it if you cant figure anything out. There might be a code to input into the radio to take it off as well.

I have no spark on my 1990 Ford E-150 5.8L. I have replaced the coil.

Are you getting power to the coil? If coil voltage is low, suspect the radio capacitor is shorted. If the voltage is good, the problem may be the ignition module. One other possibility is a problem with the distributor pickup coil or connector. See 2nd page at link below.

Battery keeps going dead.

obviously there is an abnormal drain on the vehicles electrical system. Examples of this are a glove box or conso;e light staying even though you closed it, is there a reading or compartment light on ? Anybody that just says "you need a battery without ALSO testing the electrical system for integrity is not helping,

It's probably one of these:

1.NSS- (Neutral Safety Switch)
2.CPS- (Crankshaft Position Sensor)

**Look here-
CPS 1/2 way down..
