you probably need a new power window regulator, you can get one from your local salvage yard, however I would recommend a new one, from an auto parts store online or the dealer (most expensive option). to remove follow these steps:normally on the hondaALL 4 WORK EXCEPT DRIVER WINDOW MOTOR - 2.gif models there are two screws that need to be taken out, the inside latch area (plastic cap covering it) and the door pull (normally down in the bottom covered with a plastic cap), thin small flat blade will work to remove. once the is done you will need to pull out the latch area on the driver's window control panel, disconnect the connectors. set the aside, next you will need a thin flat blade screw driver or flat pry bay, start at the bottom of the door to pry out the panel, check for screws, if you cannot see any proceed to using the flat blade to remove the panel (will make a loud snapping or popping noise, this is normal) once you have loosened the panel, you will need to remove the plastic covering the access to the mirror (small triangle black plastic piece). this should now allow you to set the door panel aside, check to make sure you have removed all the clips. carefully remove the plastic lining cover the door, try not to tear or rip it. now you will need to remove the glass, there are two holes the allow access to the bolts for the window, connect your Power window switch and raise or lower till you can see them ( possibly a 10 mm socket) unscrew and set aside, hold the top of the window with one hand and lower the window to separate it form the brace. tilt the front side of the window down and remove glass set aside, replace your new window and re assemble as you have taken apart, most cases this is about two hours, Good Luck !!!

I have a Toyota Corolla ,GLX, 1991. All the three Windows except the driver's stopped working. I suspected a common fuse, but don't see a special fuse for power windows....? Thank you very much.

It is a common fuse, or possibly a 20 amp circuit breaker, for the windows. But if one works, that is not the problem. Either in the wiring to the other windows, or window motors burned or worn out (pretty old car). Sometimes the driver's door master switch is faulty and won't send power to the other doors.
Do you have a multi-meter, a volt ohm meter? You cannot do any electrical tests without a voltmeter.

On 1998 Volvo V70, just replaced the window control unit on the driver's side with a new one. All windows work except for the driver's.

Check for power and ground at the window motor itself. Power motor directly and make sure that motor is ok.

My drivers window works but the three other windows dont work

It could be a bad master control switch (drivers control) or it could be 3 bad window motors or it could be a broken wire from the master switch to the other switches. Electrical diagnosis must be performed to determine which it is.

Driver side power window won't work

You have either a defective window motor or a defective window regulator. To fix this, first you need to remove the door panel. By using a screw driver pop out the control, then pop out the plastic insert where the door handle is located. Peel down the water bearer you will see three star screws, emove these which holds in the window motor. Take the motor apart, should be one or two screws holding the motor together, you will see three plastic plugs, you can purchase new ones at any auto store for around $9.00 or three ball bearings, at any hardware store for .64 cents each. You will se aluminum plugs holding in the window regulator. Using a punch punch out the rivits, using a 1/4 inch drill bit, drill out the aluminum holding the regulators, replace these with 1/4 inch bolts and lock nuts. When you remove the window motor make sure you pack it with plenty of wheel bearing grease, and grease the regulator with wheel bearing grease, reasemble, then glue the water back in place. Test the window motor and regulator before replacing the door panel. Will take you about 4 hours. Advice. If one window is going bak the others will follow. Purchase the regulators on line for around $20, vs $60 at any auto place. Good luck.

Driver window won't go up

SOUNDS AS IF MOTOR IS BAD CHECK POWER AT MOTOR WHILE OPERATING SWITCH. IF U HAVE POWER AT MOTOR THEN MOTOR IS BAD OR A POSSIBLE GROUNDING ISSUE.

Rear wiper

It is the power window relay for feeding power to all the windows except the drivers. If the drivers works the other three don't it is time to replace the power window relay.

Another quick test is to see at each window if the switch works then try it at the driver master switches for each window. If you notice a difference then it is either the power window relay or the master switch.

You can post further feedback based on what you find so I can pinpoint exactly. If all windows are not working then it is the 30a power fuse
