2001 gs300. One morning everything was dead, no light, no remote door unlock. Jumped started, everything worked. Fine for about three weeks than dead again. Battery only several years old. Could it be something in the electrical system (regulator?)
Have your battery tested. If you had a charging system problem it would not have made it three weeks before another incident unless it was an intermittent problem. "Several" years, while not very descriptive, is all you'll get from car batteries most of the time. Myself, living in a very hot climate, see most batteries last between 2.5 and 3.5 years. Have your battery charged and tested and go from there, I'm sure that's as far as you'll need to go, though.Have your battery tested. Remove negative cable from battery, connect a test light to negative terminal, opposite end off light to negative battery post. ( let sit for 3 to 5 minutes). Then start pulling fuses, when the light goes out that's your bad circuit. God-Bless! Its worth a try.
