VW shaking I have VW Jetta 2.0 1995. When I start cold engine-it starts great but than it cut out by itself. It can't hold engine speed without pressing accelerator. When I start driving- car is shaking in each gear especially when I hold pedal in the same speed. If I press acelerator down-it is not shaking but once I hold it-it start shaking again. Moreover it is shaking in neutral if I press accelerator a little especially in 1000-2000 rph range. No CE light. I replaced Throttle position sensor and distributor. Shaking dissapeared for 500 miles and now came back again. Maybe it is because bad wire connection somewhere? Thank you.

Sounds like the fuel pressure regulator but first try new fuel filter and maybe clean spark plugs and reset them

2002 vw jetta, gas smell & shaking after 60mph

Well if the check engine light is on then there is something wrong, now you need the engine control module scanned for fault codes to begin to understand the problem that turned the light on, you need an OBD2 code reader (about $35.00) as a minimum to read the codes.

02 VW Jetta TDI with ALH engine glow plug

this is a common problem for these cars glow plugs go bad like spark plugs however the smoke would lead to bad mass airflow meter. it is not telling ecu corrcet miss. disconnect mass airflow meter. when cold see if this makes it start better. it should would means you need new m.a.f. glow plug issue take a test light place clamp on positive of battery then pull off glow plug connectors place tip of test light on glow plug the bad one will have a dull light unlike the good one which will be brighter. will need new plugs and wire harness four **** connectors and wire striper and crimper will fix concern good luck

2003 vw jetta wolfsburg bogs on early acceleration

Don't know if it applies to your diesel but most later gas engined vehicles have a 'cold start' valve that supplies additional fuel to the fuel/air mix along with boosting the idle speed until some warming of the engine is sensed.
