Check engine light comes on a 2000 astro ,van vacume leak

Lotsa places to look for a leaky vacuum hose on a 14 year old van You have to start at the manifold vacuum port and go after every connection. Don't forget the modulator valve on the transmission.

Where are the vacum hoses on a 1992 chev astro van

If, while you were in the engine area, you may have knocked the hose for the pcv valve off the carb. That causes the idle to get higher. Good luck.

Egr vacume line where on the motor does it go

Here is info from a recall that might help you with the vacuum lines. 91E05

Add a vacuum ****** delay valve in the air control system as follows:
Refer to Figure 3. Install a D7AZ-12A208-A vacuum ****** delay valve (#5, white/pink) in the vacuum line connected to the air control side of the combination air bypass/air control valve using a 3" length of D0PZ-12226-B vacuum hose (5/32" ID). The pink side of the delay valve must be positioned toward the air control valve. Use two 95874-S tie straps to keep the vacuum line away from the EGR valve.

Where do the three vacum line go on the egr on a 1985 corvette

You do not need to connect the three vacume hoses to the EGR just find one that has vacume to it upon accelaration with the car running pull a vacume hose off the carburator with a vacume gage or your finger check to see if you got vacume if not accelarate carb if you do connect vacume line to EGR

90k , timing belt new @ 80k worked fine sprayed engine with water to clean dust started and ran fine nest day started but then idled up to 4k and wouldn't idle down drove it about 5 miles and got off...

I have ran into this problem at my shop. There are 3 things that could be bad. Idle air control valve, pcv valve or the vacum hose for the pcv valve. Vicually inspect the pcv vale hoses. If you dont see a tear, spray carb cleaner around the hose, if engine idle changes there is a vacum leak in hose some where. If pcv valve and hose are ok than its your idle air control valve. You can attempt to remove part and clean it but this is only a temporary fix, Good luck.

I have a 1997 Ford E-150 with no heat so i am trying to open the blend door for winter to let the heat in. how do i do this?

in your engine compartment there is a valve on one of your heater hoses.it controls temp it might be discounted or stuck close..checkers has a online web site where you can see what the valve looks like and get a price if you need one..if no heat is coming in car thats the problem..the vents are vacum operated and if there is a leak you would have slight rough idle maybe..dosnt hurt to check..check heater under dash for broken vacum lines also engine compartment for vacum leaks..

Where the low end air conditioning service on a 93 ford econoline 1 ton van

Can you see a coffee can shaped object (receiver dryer) it connects to hoses that run to a/c compressor (high side) & condensor (low side) The back end of it goes through firewall & into the van.The fitting is either threaded on receiver dryer or in that hose that connects to it.

We just bought an 85 Minnie Winnie RV with a Chevy van front. The heater in the cab does not get warm. The fan works ok and it blows through all the vents, but no heat...

It doesn't sound like hot water is circulating thru the heater core. That model should have a valve on the intake hose that goes thru the firewall. Check to see that the cable is connected and the valve is working. If it is working properly, the hose should become hot on the heater core side of the valve.

Rough idle at higher rpm smooth

You have a vacume leak somewhere. You can try to listen for it or you can get a can of brake parts cleaner and spray it around the engine. Anywhere there is hoses or connections of any kind. When you find the leak the engine RPM's will increase. If thats not the problem it could be your EGR valve is clogged or your map sensor could be bad. Those things would usually cause a check engine light. Vacume leaks wont. Good luck
