If you need a handsfreelink for bluetooth phone connection to the vehicle, I would look for aftermarket alternatives, or maybe even used units. I would err caution with this option as these modules fail commonly.
If the HFL module is causing parasitic draw problem, I would just disconnect the module to prevent further draw.
It's not a particularly difficult job. It entails loosening the drop-links/tie bars that connect to the torsion bar - the anti roll bar, then loosening the bolts holding the anti roll bar in place.
Just be aware that the anti roll bar is in effect a 'spring' and is under tension. Loosen the retaining bolts gradually, slowly.
replacing the bushes is straight forward. Once you have removed the anti roll bar just lever the old rubber bushes out with a screwdriver and push the new ones into place .. then reassemble everything.
In the most general of terms you would do the job in a couple of hours
The control module has set a fault and it will have to be reset. They are sensitive to voltage & must have 12 volts to operate properly. The windows and top will need to be resync. I cannot find any information regarding the diagnostic procedure for the roof ..
it states there is a procedure to diagnose the fault with the number of flashes
the switch makes .. a dealer may be your best option on this fault .. I hope this helps some.
just push the roll bar button in the up position like you raising the roll bar. hold it for about ten seconds or til you hear a click sound. basically your just going to reengage the mechanism again since the roll bar got deployed while driving. If thats not the case then you might have a separate problem but I would start there.
take the sump off and clean it out ,have a funny feeling its full of brake band stuff blocking up the pick up filter ,its only a roller nothing special just a status symbol thats all and not difficult to repair
I assume they all (windows)have automatic feature(should say on master switch ALL AUTO) , two clickes on each switch.First click for manual rolling , second click for auto rolling.
If that so , you can try to reset them :
Put the ignition on or start the car , close all doors ,
roll window up on first click and hold it for 10 sec. , then go down and do the same when window is down. If it doesn't work with the first click , try it on the second click. Roll it up and hold switch for 10sec.
, then down and hold switch down for 10 sec.
This procedure will not work if you only have auto on driver window.
Hope it helps.
This system is designed to release the roll bar from the actuating rams due to input from the axle(suspension travel) sensors in the rear of your vehicle. More than likely your roll bar system released the bar and it sprung upwards. You have to hold the roll bar switch in the up position until the rams travel up and lock back into the bar. Once they lock back in the system will be operational again.
