The lift gate light is staying on even when the lift is closed, its making my battery die and I cannot figure out how to shut it off i read some and people say look for button or switch on liftgate, i looked everywhere i cannot find it anyone got a picture of what i am suppose to look for?

e the whole thing is a button? Some models have this type and you may have bumped it and not realised. The switch is usually located on, in or nearest to the actual latch where the two parts hook and lock together. If the switch is faulty you might need to get behind the trim panel on the liftgate to get access to the latch assembly.

I dont think I explained it correctly, the light is on my dashboard, it wont go off despite it being closed and its triggering lights to come on and off like it closed not closed
The issue is most likely the latch switch or the light on the actual lift gate. The dash light is simply that, a light. It usually won’t turn off until the issue is solved. Are there any other lights on the dashboard? If you need to repair/replace the latch you will need to remove the trim panel on the tailgate to get at the mechanism.
