Hi My lexus es350 2007 model has a VSC check engine light on, I tried driving it - it is not accelerating beyond 20 miles. Can I reset the lights, drive it or do I need to tow it to repair shop?

The most common causes of a VSC light are a faulty accelerator pedal, faulty throttle body, faulty ABS sensors, or a faulty mass airflow sensor. You need to get an OBD scan tool and tead the codes.

Vsc light on my lexus rx 350 2007 .

I'm not sure about the Lexus, but Nissan and other vehicles with the VSC usually will be on until you can drive on a straight road for approximately 2-3 miles without stops and about the same speed during the reset process. The interstate or some type of hwy will reset this light once the vehicle has learned the Vehicle Stabilization Control in which is learned by the way you drive and enables the car to have stable control. Hope this helps out, if this doesn't work, I would take it in for more diagnostics.

2007 lexus rx350 ,vsc light on and check engine light is flashing

First check and make sure your gas cap is tight, if this does not resolve the problem read below.
A vacuum hose has become disconnected, more than likely due to having your air filter replaced. The VSC and Check engine light typically don't come on until after 150-200 miles after the vacuum hose was pulled out.
The fix: on the right-hand-side of the engine compartment behind the big plastic housing that holds the air filter you will find a black rubber hose that is not connected to anything. Squeeze the finger clamp on the hose and slide the hose back onto the half inch nipple on the back of the air filter's plastic housing.
In order for the VSC and Check engine light to be turned off, you will need to open the fuse box, right-side of the engine compartment, and pull the 20 amp EFI fuse for 10 seconds. This will reset the system. The fuse location is marked on the lid of the fuse box, also I believe the EFI fuse is the only 20 amp fuse
. This will help. Thanks, please keep updated. please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

VSC light and check engine light intermittently coming on. some time transmission fees sluggish too are these related> ls400 159K miles

Yes. Did you recently have the oil changed?Air Filter? Alot of techs accidentally disconnect hoses to Air Filter housing. Check hoses, Oxygen sensor could need replacement. Try reseting the sensor lights by disconnecting the negative (-) battery cable for 20 seconds then reconnect and start car. Lights should be reset. If they come back on take to dealer or to AutoZone where they can do a free analysis of engine codes
