Burned wiring at battery connections or bad voltage regulator which is in the alternator depending on the type and year of vehicle
If you crossed the battery wires then you probably burned out some fuses and maybe did damage to the charging system. HAVE THE BATTERY CHECKED OUT FOR VOLTAGE LEVEL. Depending on how much you know, it would be a good idea to have a mechanic take a look to see how much damage was done.
Testimonial: "ive check all the fuses that i know of. im getting 12.47v on both the soleniod and alternator from battery.. i kinda know my way arond a motoras ive always worked on my cars , familarity is decent..wirering is a a whole [new learning experence and i will do the work again"
ive rebuilt the alternator since and nothing changed. can i test soleniod with out starting it or where else should i check.. one more thing , i have four main power wire for my instrament panel and only 2 show some power that reads 9. something, the other 2 have no power so half of my fuses dont work.....
