Kia sportage 2013 KX3 DRL and rear lights not working

If your front and rear lights are not working in your 2013 Kia Sportage KX3, but your full beams and brake lights are functioning properly, the issue could be with a faulty relay. The relay is an electrical switch that is used to control the flow of electricity to the lights.
To locate the relay for the front and rear lights, you will need to consult the owner's manual for your vehicle. The owner's manual should have a diagram showing the location of the relays in the vehicle's electrical system. Alternatively, you can also check the label on the inside of the fuse box cover, which should list the location and function of each relay.
Once you have located the correct relay, you can test it to see if it is functioning properly. If the relay is faulty, it will need to be replaced. It is important to use a relay with the correct amperage rating to avoid damaging the electrical system. If you are unsure how to test the relay or do not feel comfortable doing so, it is recommended to seek the assistance of a professional mechanic.

? Why do my reverse lights stop working when the car gets warm

all fuses good, and not loose.
no car told
no year told
no engine size told and that tells me what transmission is there
no country told some car in some countries have 10 engine choices
is it stick shift manual trans or automatic-trans.>>>
Lights both. not just one,
some electronics fail hot,
good ,bad, intermittent and thermally sensitive.
the 4 states, or 5 if it is vibration sensitive,
this is what I do ,as at tech fix all those bad ways doing tests.
no car told gee 100 years of cars, must I post them all>?
in the olden days for 80 years the transmissions PRNDL switch on the side of the automatic box, ,the R pin goes to both reverse lights and loves to fail or gee the connector to is lose. super simple this,.
and 1 meter test and bin
then about 2000 , year they were not happy with 1 computer(ECU)
then needed more, lots more even 10, and now car makers make more money fixing them than selling them.

so NOW they havea TCM , transmission brain and the transmission tells the TCM brain what gear you are in, then it tells the BCM body puter to turn the reverse lights on and does,. (fuse reverse not blown)
now you are and expert and no car told yet,.
history is super important to any tech for sure EVOLUTION of it.
it will only get worse,
whats next a computer in the heated seat>?
on the 2000 cars we MUST scan the PCM to see why if fuses good.
and worse, some cars mine has no fused seen, it is a regulator in the BCM that shuts down at any short.but auto resets when I cure the shorts. if the car has trailer hitch many are wired buy GOONS
with DT's
and short.
or previous rear collisions not cured fully.
no car told so text too long but now you know.

2013 Kia Ceed. Reverse light module location please?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to model category.

It isn't a module, just a switch. There appear to be 'issues'.

Hi On a 2013 Kia ceed if one reverse bulb holder is faulty will it stop the other reverse light working there is all brown around one of the bulb holders looks like it may be getting hot

a great electronics question
well lamps and there wires can be 3 things
  1. good
  2. burned out or open
  3. shorted lamps kill all lamps on the same line.(feed)
burn/brown is bad ,it is no good that socket, replace it.
No ,not maybe IS (says Yoda) burned

the exception is some cars have a fuse set for left and right side. of car so only kills that side or that end of car.
newer cars have electronic (REG) fuses in BCM you will never find that shut off at any short.fast.
then auto turn back on when the short is removed.
that is way more safe. for sure these BCM.(body brain module )
also some lamps for sure brass yellow based lamps short out if over torqued, turned to hard and bulb actual is loose. bad that.
1157 love do and like kinds' (brass based cups)

How do I replace Kia Ceed high level brake light

You either have to remove the red lens or the light housing has a pop out access cover to expose the bulb.

Need headlight wiring diagram for 2013 Kia Rio,want to fit spotlights

you will have to fit a relay into the system. Tap a wire into the high beam power wire for the headlights. (Piggy back connection) take this wire down to the fitted relay to a coil pin on the relay. connect a wire to the other coil pin of the relay and return to the dash area to an control switch through it then to an earth point.. Run a wire to an inline fuse directly from the battery ( fuse close to the battery as it is a high current line) down to one pin of the relay. connect up the power wire for the light to the opposite pin on the relay and connect the earth wire of the light to an earth point

According to road regulations you cannot have spot lights on by them selves and they must only operate in conjunction with high beam operation.. The setup as I describe allows you control of when the spotlights will be on ( switch in the dash) and if on will be extinguished when low beam is selected as per regulations. The relay ensures that the trigger wires do not carry full light amperage so light gauge wires can be used and only the power wire from the battery to the relay to the light need to be heavier gauge.
