1988 Mitsubishi Mighty Max - pickup. The turn signals and hazard lights have stopped working. The fuses are all good, the bulbs are all good, everything else on the switch works.

most alternators are just 2 wires yellow/green usually go to the dash bulb to say alternator is working, thick red is direct to battery, some models have an extra earth, there are a few types of duel alternators that are designed to charge more than one battery, these have 2 bolt polls one standard size and another half the size this one is for the spare battery i.e battery for fridge etc. hope this helps. battery light on dash is usually spade connector.

hazard switch faulty

remove the fuel line from the filter and turn the engine on
fuel flow pump good
no fuel flow replace pump/ fuse
follow the fuel line from the tank to find the pump

When service to the emission control system has been completed slide the switch to the opposite position, turning off the warning light.
If the service was for the 120,000 mile interval remove the warning light bulb.

CAUTION: If the speedometer is to be replaced set the odometer to the same reading as the odometer being removed. (consult your local motor vehicle laws)

IF THE TURN SIGNALS STILL WORK IN THE FRONT, THAT MEANS THE FUSE & THE FLASHER ARE OK. IF THE SIGNALS DON'T WORK AT ALL CHECK TURN SIGNAL FUSE & STOP / BRAKE FUSE. ARE YOU SURE THE CORRECT BULBS ARE BEING USED?

Have you checked the hazards? Check it ou and if they are not working. Try cycling them on and off 12times. This is to try to clean the contacts.
It hazard switch has bridging contacts. So if you are not using the hazards, the other contacts are closed so you can operate the turn signal and brakes. What have you done so far? GM is known for faulty circuit boards inside the tail-lights and overheated sockets (that the bulbs snap into). take your time, check for blown fuses, broken or corroded wires, and the little things too, like the bulbs.
