2015 Kia Sorento died now cranks slowly but only for a few seconds. It has brand new battery.

The Kia sorento, 2014 , 15 , 16, has no transmission stick. The unit is self contained, no way to check it. Probably should have it flushed every 50,000 miles. It takes a special machine to change the trans., fluid, Kia dealer wants over $350 to change,,, way to high

be careful on this one. 700 means a transaxle, not sure if its stopped signal or something else. 335 is the crank sensor, i wonder if you have a timing belt that has come or or somethin like that. dont crank the engine until you can get someone to check some things.

is the air intake clear , new filter nothing squashing the intake pipe, how long does it take for the glow plug light to go out once you've turned ignition on ?

It details the need to replace the crank pulley bolt with a new one supplied by KIA. This bolt, if reused, can break causing a catastrophic engine failure. Do not buy any other bolt., it's not worth trying to save a few pennies.I have a 2005 Sorento and had my local KIA dealer do this job and other work as long as the front cover is off, replace the water pump, the timing belt idlers and tensioner assembly. It's cheaper to d all that at one time than to go back and have to redo the cover removal. Hope this helps.

If a car like yours dies while driving then I would suspect a fuel pump issue or a crank position sensor issue. Has your timing belt been replaced? that should be done at 100k miles. If the timing belt is coming apart it will throw pieces of itself onto the crank position sensor. Have someone check the fuel pressure and inspect the timing belt and crank sensor.

Hello sit in side turn key to on position do not crank engine you should hear a grunt sound like grrrrr this is your fuel pump if you do not hear this your fuel pump is not working and will need replaced .The smell your smelling is that of high either spray in your engine.

you may of blown a fuse- this can happen if when you jumped it you had the wires backwards - it causes a voltage spike and can blow fuses
