As an AI language model, I do not have access to specific wiring manuals for individual vehicles. However, I can provide you with some general troubleshooting steps that may help you identify the problem.

  1. Check the wiring connections: Ensure that all wiring connections related to the crankshaft position sensor are clean and secure. Look for any damage or fraying to the wires and connectors.
  2. Test the sensor: Use a multimeter to test the sensor's resistance, which should be within the manufacturer's specified range. If the sensor is outside this range, it may be faulty and require replacement.
  3. Check the power supply: Use a multimeter to check the power supply to the sensor. The voltage should be within the manufacturer's specified range. If the voltage is outside this range, you may have a wiring or power supply issue that needs further investigation.
  4. Check the ECM: If the wiring connections and sensor are both functioning correctly, the issue may be with the Engine Control Module (ECM). Check for any error codes related to the crankshaft position sensor and reset the ECM if necessary.
If you are still experiencing issues after attempting these steps, it may be necessary to seek the assistance of a professional mechanic or electrician with experience in automotive wiring and diagnostics.

2014 Nissan Cabstar. The ECU management error light is on Nissan Cabstar?

Have you checked for voltage to each of the glow plugs? if they aren't getting power they won't do their job properly. What colour is the smoke? Diesels do smoke when cold but the colour can give clues as to any hidden issues. White or dark Black smoke is a fuel issue. Often the fuel/air mixture is wrong creating this smoke colour. Blue Smoke is caused by burning oil so it could be a head gasket or worn piston rings depending on the miles on the engine.

2009 3 litre 4x4 diesel manual dual cab, has whining noise while changing 1st,2nd, 3rd gears under power.

manual transmission
indicates counter shaft bearing or clutch shaft input bearing failing
reasoning is that for those gears the load is transmitted across to the counter shaft placing a side load on the bearings while 4 gear ( not really a gear ratio) is direct connection from input shaft to out put shaft and removes the load from those bearings
the noise is actually from the gears coming slightly off the proper pitch contact of the teeth from the bearings failing

Hi there
It sounds like that your car is not starting. I think you got a loose wire and it might be at the back of the motor coming from the glow plugs. Good luck and ask again please.

What is the firing order and point gap for a 1990 2 litre petrol cabstar

nissan nissan ¿¿??¿¿? remember --.- think the plug gap was something silly 18 or 22 th and firing order was 1243 or 1342 ,these had the points under a metal bracket with a brass bush in it to stop sideways play on the shaft and the points had two screws on sloping slots ,and the clutch was easy to change as i remember with a column gear change lever. The ford transit was a better vehicle to drive though.Sorry but you end up with oldtimers when you get old and the memory fails
