2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee weird electrical issues

So at first it was that the turn signals would randomly go out for periods of time. Then it snowed. Now they always work. Problem is when I turn on the lights the wipers go up a few inches and if I get up to around 65 mph the wipers go fully up and stay there. When I turn the lights off they will flicker on and off as the wipers go up and down to complete the cycle of stopping. Also while turning the lights on the drivers side turn signal light stays illuminated on the dash and the light in the rear stays constantly on. The blinker still works when I use it. With lights on I cannot use the wipers at all . With lights off they work fine. I cannot find any bad fuses. Also on the passenger side the windows do not work in front or rear. Wondering if maybe it's all connected somehow? Also, now since it snowed and the wipers are being weird with the lights on I believe the high beam light on drivers side stopped working as well. Am not the greatest with electrical issues wondering if anyone has had similar problems and got it figured out?

I had a problem similar to that described. I took my cherokee to my local Jeep dealer who having charged around £1000 sent me away with the a warning light still showing. Several independant units advised I should dispose of the vehicle because this intermittand issue is common. Finally I fould a Jeep dealer with a technician who actually understood the cause of the intermittant issue. He removed, cleaned and refitted all the earth (ground) conections to the chassis and the problem was cured. Time to complete 1 hour! !0K miles later all is still good. A DIY job if only I had known.

ummm if you have the 1999 jeep grand cherokee (limited) Quadratic (like i have) that means the jeep is 4WD all time!!! it could be a problem with your tires be bald!!! I put snow tires on my Quadratic 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it works fine on snow and ice and the reason is because its never out of 4WD because its all time 4WD

2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Electrical Problem

Try cleaning both battery connectors--both cable ends and posts with a common internal/external brush set available at auto supply dealers. Apply a corrosion inhibitor grease (from the same dealers) liberally to insides and outsides of posts and cable ends. Check the far ends of both cables for tightness and lack of corrosion.

Sounds like an intermittent bad voltage regulator inside the alternator, although it could possibly be a loose wiring conecton. You are doing good by checking system voltage at the battery with the engine running.Check for clean tight electrical connections at the battery and at the alternator. Also check grounds.
